What is Data Transfer Rate

Data Transfer Rate is the rate at which data can be transmitted from one device to another. Data Rate is basically commonly used to measure how fast data is transferred from one location to another. Data Rates are often measured in megabits (Mbps) or megabytes (Mbps) per second. (‘b’ in Mbps means bits and ‘B’ in MBps means bytes). This rate is basically compared to flow of traffic.
